McGuire, 61, of Alderson, previously pleaded guilty to wire fraud. He was also ordered to pay $50,200.18 in restitution. McGuire was the funeral director at Broyles-McGuire Funeral Home in Union in Monroe County. While serving as funeral director, McGuire also sold insurance policies that would pay for clients’ funerals upon their death. On August 31, 2012, McGuire submitted a claim, stating that a client had passed away on August 29, 2012, and that he had provided funeral services at a cost of $3,313.71. Shemos A generation comes a generation goes….(c) 2018 This weeks Torah reading, like lehavdil, the new year of 2018, begins the second book of the Torah, known as Shemos. According to the sages of Israel, the Torah  is one continuous scroll, unlike the apostates who claim the Torah was written at different times  by different people .  The proof that it is one continuous book can be found with the aid of Gematria. The Gematria of  Exodus 1:1, where it says, And these are the names of the children of Israel who were coming to Mitzrayim, equals 3161. Another prhase  with the same number can be found at Genesis 45:7, where Joseph tells  his brothers after revealing his true identity, “that Hashem has sent me before you to sustain you in the land and for a momentous deliverance. A Clue why Moses was buried in the land of Gad © 2017 The Torah says that Leah called her son Gad or vatikrah es shmo Gad, see Genesis 30:11. The Gematria of this term is 1461. Another phrase with the same Gematria is Lehadlik Ner Shel Shabbat, or to kindle the light of the Sabbath. So what is the connection? We know that Moses’s greatest gift was Sabbath as noted in our Sabbath Prayers. So what does this have to do with Gad? Based on the location where Gad was situated. Gad was on the eastern side of the Jordan. This means that eastern side entered Shabbos first. Moses wanted to be buried in the section of Israel that was the first to enter into Shabbos and at the same time, close to Israel and that was located in the tribe of Gad.
